
Eddie Pugh is a retired United States Air Force combat veteran who has called Abilene, Texas, home since 2011. Eddie completed six combat deployments, gaining firsthand experience in leadership, resilience, and the importance of standing up for those who cannot fight for themselves. His military service instilled in him the courage, discipline, and integrity that define his life and work today.
After leaving the Air Force, Eddie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from American Military University, deepening his understanding of human behavior, trauma, and the challenges faced by veterans, families, and working Texans. His education, combined with real-world experience, prepared him to confront injustice and advocate for accountability in his community.
Eddie has become a well-known activist in Abilene, standing up to corruption and exposing abuses of power. He has fought against illegal, unlicensed halfway houses and unsafe practices, taking on local institutions that failed to protect citizens. His advocacy was not without personal cost—Eddie faced a felony charge and spent over a year under an ankle monitor. Yet, through perseverance, he was acquitted, and the City of Abilene was forced to settle, proving that standing up to the establishment is not only necessary—it works.
